Ethan has really been interested in what Brady does for a living. This past week Brady was on call for the weekend and Ethan was asking about the different pieces of Equipment that was on the trouble truck. Brady took the time to show him the tools and explain what they were used for. Ethan especially liked the long stick and what they used it for. The other day while pretending with friends, they wanted to play house. Ethan is not that in to "Girly Pretend" as he calls it so instead he said in his grown up voice "That's my pager. Gotta go. There is a power problem somewhere. I'll be back later." I chuckled at how cute he is and how much he wants to be just like his Dad.
On Monday Ethan came home all excited about his reading book for the night. It was called "Discovering Electricity" and he could hardly wait to read it with his Dad. He told me that they were both going to learn about electricity. He thought Brady needed to know a little more about it, since he works with it all day. It took them a few nights to read it because Ethan had so many questions and wanted to try the different experiments in the book. (He can now make A LOT of static electricity and give you a good shock:}
It has been really fun to find something that he is interested in so much. I think Brady enjoys it too. For now his son thinks he is "SO COOL" We will see if that lasts through the teenage years.
